Left layer: Cucumber slices, carrot sticks, mini buttered ham sandwiches
Right layer: Kona coffee glazed macadamia nuts, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, rabbit apples, Happy Cow cheese
Yesterday's bento was all about the macadamia nuts! I love these things, they're addictive! But I liked that this bento had a variety of stuff in it. The cucumber slices, carrot sticks, cheese, and rabbit apples gave me something to munch on while I was in by cube all day, and the ham (heated in butter) sandwiches surprisingly filled me up.
Left compartment:Holiday ham on sliced bread (like an open-face sandwich)
Right compartment:A mini orange, Happy Cow cheese, and carabao milk candy
I miss making bento so much! Too much has been going on lately for me to be in the mood to bento (plus Asia's Internet is wonky because of the Taiwan earthquake so yeah), but last Friday I decided to throw a quick one together. The leftover ham was from the holidays, which I just heated up and put on top of bread, while the carabao milk candy was from my officemate Jerry, who went to Cagayan for vacation. This bento may be simple but it has two of my favorite things in the world - Happy Cow cheese and an orange, yum!
In other bento news...
Kaoko Cow (who makes the amazing bentos in Kitchen Cow) and I met up for a bento accessory swap! She gave me a Feel at Ease utensil set that matches my Feel at Ease bento box plus some Cinamoroll furikake packets. I gave her red chopsticks with tiny silver dragonflies on it to match her red dragonfly bento box. She got the raw end of the deal, mind you, but I'll make it up to her next time. It was fun. I hope we get to meet up again soon for some bento food shopping.
